Luna a kind of "anti-Hermione". This is because Luna believes things that are only based on faith and Hermione always bases her opinions on facts and logic. Hermione tries to convince Luna several times that her beliefs are nonsense, but without any success. Luna finds Hermione's views narrow-minded and Hermione finds Luna gullible. Although Luna may be a bit "goofy", she can be extremely perceptive when it comes to the people around her. She surprises Harry on several occasions with her observance and blunt-edged honesty.
