Because of his aversion to dreusses and half-breeds, Tom Riddle Jr. rejected the name he had been given by his father and adopted a new name. He made an anagram of Tom Marvolo Riddle and thus was born the name of the most feared dark wizard of all time, "My name is Voldemort." In the wizarding world, his name is rarely, if ever, pronounced. Usually it is referred to as Jeweetwel or He-Who-Not-This-Name, and the Death Eaters speak honorably of the Lord of Darkness.
