From banana peel to freesia

Sometimes a LEGO® MOC starts with one eye-catching component. In this case, it was a yellow banana peel. What seems like a playful detail at first glance grew into something completely different: an elegant LEGO freesia flower. Using parts from our own collection of loose LEGO parts, we designed a unique flower that shows how versatile building with loose parts can be.

This MOC proves that you can realise the most unexpected shapes with creativity and the right parts.

Creative building with loose LEGO parts

For this LEGO freesia, we used a selection of parts from our webshop. Think organic shapes, curved elements and subtle colour variations in shades of green. Using existing elements in a different way creates a realistic flower shape.

From playful element to botanical design

The strength of this LEGO freesia MOC lies in the reuse of parts beyond their original function. A banana peel becomes a petal. Small round tiles provide subtle accents in the heart of the flower. Clever combining creates an organic, flowing shape that is strongly reminiscent of a real freesia.
