From small city birds to colorful parrots and magical owls: LEGO® birds come in all shapes, sizes, and colors. These little creatures instantly add charm to any creation. Place a pigeon on the roof of a LEGO® house, have a parrot take a seat on a pirate ship, or add an owl to an enchanting forest.

Small LEGO® birds for any setting
The small LEGO® bird is a versatile piece that fits into just about any build. Thanks to its compact size, you can easily place it on a fence, tree branch, roof edge, or lamppost.
These little birds are available in various colors and designs. A brown one, for example, resembles a sparrow, while a white or blue bird fits perfectly into a fantasy world. By grouping a few birds together, you can easily create a lively park, a garden, or a cozy city square.
The little bird can also be used creatively as a decorative element. After all, with LEGO®, a piece doesn’t always have to represent what it was originally designed for.
Parrots for Pirates and Tropical Jungles
Of course, a pirate ship isn’t complete without a parrot. LEGO® parrots are recognizable by their curved beaks and long tails. You’ll find both classic models with narrow beaks and newer versions with wider beaks.
Thanks to their many colors and printed feathers, parrots fit perfectly into tropical settings. Place them among large leaves, high up in a palm tree, or on a pirate’s shoulder. Combine different varieties to create a colorful aviary or an entire rainforest.
In addition to the well-known parrots, there are also striking species, such as a white cockatoo. These add just a little more variety to a tropical MOC.
Owls for a Magical LEGO® World
Owls fit perfectly in forests, castles, and nighttime scenes. The well-known perched LEGO® owl has a compact body with a distinct feather pattern. This makes the animal easily recognizable even on a small scale.
There are also owls with outstretched wings. This version looks like it’s really flying through the air and is ideal for an action-packed scene. Harry Potter™ fans will, of course, immediately think of Hedwig™. The white snowy owl can deliver a letter, perch on a suitcase, or fly above a magical LEGO® world.
Use a transparent piece to attach a flying owl above the ground. This makes it look as if the bird is truly floating through your creation.
Pigeons and seagulls bring the city to life
Pigeons are a must-have on a busy city square. Place a few near a bench, fountain, or train station, and the area instantly feels more lively. By arranging multiple pigeons in different poses, you can even recreate an entire flock.
The LEGO® seagull is a great choice for a harbor, beach, or lighthouse. Its printed wings and striking beak give this bird plenty of character. Have the seagull perch on a pier, fly above a fishing boat, or curiously watch a minifigure eat.
Flamingos Add a Pop of Color
With their long necks and striking colors, LEGO® flamingos are real eye-catchers. They’re a perfect fit for a tropical pool, a zoo, or a sunny beach scene.
LEGO® flamingos aren’t just available in shades of pink. There are also imaginative color variations, so you can put together a cheerful group. Add water, plants, and a few small tiles to represent rocks, and you’ll quickly have a colorful flamingo pond.

Ravens and Eagles for Exciting Adventures
Not every bird has to be cute or colorful. A raven, for example, fits well with a dark castle, a mysterious forest, or a fantasy adventure. Models with outstretched wings add extra movement to a scene.
A large LEGO® eagle makes an even bigger impression. Thanks to its wide, movable wings, this bird can fly over a landscape or carry a minifigure. This makes eagles particularly well-suited for adventurous and medieval builds.
How to Use Birds in Your LEGO® MOC
With a few clever placements, you can make LEGO® birds a real part of the story. Consider, for example:
- - Birds gathering around a bird feeder
- - A parrot in front of a pirate
- - Owls at a wizard’s school or in a dark forest
- - Seagulls above a harbor or fishing boat
- - Pigeons in a square or on a train station roof
- - Flamingos by a tropical pool
- - A raven on the tower of an old castle
Also pay attention to the height at which you place the birds. By placing animals at different levels, your creation will have more depth. Combine perched birds with flying ones for a natural and lively result.
