LEGO® DUPLO®
LEGO® DUPLO® sets are ideal for proper motor development in young children ages 1½ to 5. The bricks are specially designed for safe use by little hands. The bricks and figures are more than twice the size of "regular" LEGO®; an ideal size for toddlers and preschoolers. All models are easy to build and provide an educational play experience. The first DUPLO® dates back to 1969. Since then, DUPLO® has evolved into a full-fledged line of its own focused on the education and play fun of young children. In addition to the educational sets, which are increasingly supported with videos on LEGO.com, DUPLO® today also has many themed sets, such as Winnie the Pooh, Mickey Mouse and Disney Cars. In the 1990s, LEGO® first introduced the electric-powered train with gray rails in a pair of DUPLO® sets. The DUPLO® steam train is still very popular today. Driving the train and the sounds it makes are highly appreciated by little ones. The DUPLO® blocks and the DUPLO® dolls are also available separately.
