Baymax originated from one of Hiro Takachiho's science project. Originally designed as a hydro-powered robot synth-former, Hiro programmed him as a personal bodyguard, butler and chauffeur. Baymax becomes Hiro's best friend and father figure after Hiro programs him with his recently deceased father's brain programs. When the Giri recruits Hiro for the superteam Big Hero 6, Baymax also joins the team. There, Baymax's phenomenal strength and amazing surveillance and data analysis abilities come in very handy.
